A funny Abby story

We are backing out of the garage (as I am taking her to school this morning) and she asks me if I am going to shut the garage door.  I told her of course I would.  Was she worried that someone might steal her and her daddy's golf emporium (they created their own driving range in there last Sunday.)  No, she said.  She was worried that someone might steal our dogs.  I couldn't help but crack up.  Seriously.  Rocky, 13 years old, is a crotchety old man who sometimes poops in our house.  He is a mutt that we got in Athens Ohio.  Summer, 6 years old, is a hound mix from the Greenville Humane Society.  She has a couple wires loose and will attack most anyone.  She has eaten the wooden panes off of our windows, chewed through carpet, ate weather-stripping, chewed headboards of beds....very destructive.  Abby seemed very hurt and confused.  I did explain to her that sometimes pure-breeds are stolen but even that doesn't happen often.  Funny and sweet kid.

Hmmm...well here I go!

My blog. I am trying to think of something prophetic to say as to why I am starting this but the truth is I just want a record of my life. I can honestly say that I enjoy my life and my family. I am mostly a positive person and I enjoy reflecting on happy moments. There are many things that make me smile and I hope that I will always remember them. But I don't trust myself to write them down. I have even fallen far behind on scrapbooking...so far I doubt I will ever return to the paper and pen method. I *plan* to make the switch to digital scrapbooks completely. Of course I will order physical copies of them for fear of my memories being lost in cyperspace.
